Urban Hotel Kyoto Gojo Premium

Great staff, very friendly cleaners, good work. They made my bed in the cutest way every by tucking the blanket to my toy Usapyon. We used takyubin (address delivery of luggage) in Japan and sent our suitcases all the way from our hotel in Tokyo to Urban Kyoto Premium. It is the only hotel that actually brought our luggage to the room before our arrival. Or probably it was because we upgraded to a premium room. Either way nice service. Speaking of onsen, I loved the lifting gel provided.

- The rooms were clean, comfortable and pretty. Bathroom was spacious, comfortable, and very pretty as well. - Tea, Microwave, water with lemon and cofee in the lobby were a nice gesture. - We took the breakfast and they were absolutely delicious! Everything! Also exceptional, european-style buns! I highly recommend! Also, well organized and comfortable. - Ammenities were not in the room, but you could take as much as you want. Conviniently placed next to the elevator. This is a great idea and ecological. - Onsen with bubbles was nice. Very clean and well-maintained.

The rooms were Western type so spacious, fantastic shower, and the onsen was lovely, but I think the men had a better view out of their window!

The hotel is modern and clean, and the room I reserved was spacious and also modern and clean. The shower was wonderful, as was the king-sized bed. There is a restaurant downstairs, but I did not eat there, although the food looked decent. There is free coffee downstairs, and it was pretty good! Much better than what's around the hotel (read below). There are convenience stores close by, and quite a few restaurants about 10 minutes away. Although there is a ramen place a few doors down, I recommend walking a bit further and exploring the eateries. Bungalow, a craft beer place with very good yakitori, was a pleasant find. (Read below for a piece of advice when restaurant-hunting.)

Nice hotel, good amenities, decent location. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. I am especially indebted to one of the female receptionists (too bad I don't remember her name): she had to cope with a strange request of mine, and she fulfilled that in the most perfect manner.
